Mike Njeru Receives Lifetime Award, Establishes Legacy Through the KenGen Foundation

The Foundation is KenGen’s face of Corporate Social Responsibility and is involved in sustainable community projects within the company’s areas of operation. It working within three pillars of sustainability, namely Education, Environment, Water and Sanitation.

The Foundation continues to manage the Education Scholarship and infrastructure support program through which the company has invested over 17 million shillings so far and has benefitted more than 350 high school and university students. The program now incorporates mentorship sessions for all on-going students, and allowances for the University scholarship beneficiaries.

The Foundation is already working with variours partners to enhance the social investments programs which are indeed transforming lives among targeted communities.
