KenGen Foundation Wraps Up Form One Selection for 2016 Education Scholarships
The scholarship program covers tuition fees for the four years that the students will be in school. The beneficiaries are usually bright students from poor backgrounds who cannot manage to raise the tuition fees for secondary school education.
KenGen scholarship program started 10 years ago with an initial 14 students. So far over Kshs. 600 million has been invested by the Company in scholarships and education infrastructure support for institutions from all over the country. Over 500 students have to date gone through the scholarship programme.
The mission of the KenGen Education Program is to provide scholarships and improve learning facilities to enable lifelong enrichment opportunities to students whose humble backgrounds may deny them a chance to realize their dreams. Those who go through the scholarship program experience the difference which quality education can do in changing one’s live.
