Foundation Sponsors KCDF’s 8th Community Open Golf Tournament

The KenGen Foundation team was delighted to hand over a cheque of Ksh. 100,000 to the Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF) for this year’s 8th Community Open Golf Tournament, and in celebration of the organization’s 20th anniversary of working with communities, on 20 March.

The cheque, presented to KCDF’s Corporate Partnership Coordinator Ms. Purity Murugi, will specifically be channelled to fund the Pamoja4Change model, which empowers communities to take charge of their own development projects by harnessing local resources.

Pamoja4Change is one of the ways KCDF uses to increase ownership and sustainability within communities. The model requires communities raise 50% of total project cost, with KCDF matching the amount raised.

This year’s 8th Community Open Golf Tournament will be held on 24 March at Karen Golf Club, Nairobi with KenGen golfers participating.
