The Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) has unveiled the Great Dam Race. The race seeks to create environmental awareness and raise funds to conserve the Seven Forks ecosystem. The race is scheduled to take place on Saturday June 14th. Runners will have the pleasure of the scenic Masinga Dam and Mwea National reserve. The Great Dam Race will offer participants a unique mix of running for fun, conservation as well as promoting sports tourism. The race will feature a 21-kilometer half marathon as well as a 10-kilometer race.
