All students under the KenGen education scholarships converge at Starehe Boys centre on August 16 for a 3-day mentorship program. This is the second of mentorship sessions initiated by KenGen Foundation when it took over the scholarship administration. The first mentorship program was held at the same venue in August last year.
The foundation will also take the opportunity to induct volunteer mentors from the staff and introduce them to the students they will be mentoring.
Keeping up with last year’s success, this year’s program takes the traditional mentor – mentee format, but will broaden to include mentoring from KenGen’s staff, a leadership coach, Microsoft Kenya, Malaika Foundation, and surprise guest speakers from the media fraternity. Together, the participants will seek life advices, build strong alliances, and set out education and career strategies.
