The Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) is celebrating 10 years of a successful scholarship Program which has enabled many young people reach out to their dreams through quality education.

KenGen’s commitment to education has supported over 500 students mainly from marginalized areas around its installations spread across the country. The Company has spent over Kshs. 600 million over the last 10 years on scholarships for secondary school and university students and in schools’ infrastructural developments in many parts of the country.
The mission of the KenGen Education Program is to provide scholarships and improve learning facilities to enable lifelong enrichment opportunities to students whose humble backgrounds may deny them a chance to realize their dreams. We believe those who have gone through our scholarship program over the last 10 years have experienced the difference which quality education has made to their lives.

KenGen Foundation invites all past KenGen Scholarship Program beneficiaries to be our main guests as we celebrate this landmark occasion at a date to be announced soon. We hence request them to register with our office as soon possible, both for our records and also for invitation to the celebrations.
